Television of the future
In the last decade or so, the world has seen an increasing amount of technological advancement. Mobile phones, computers, television and more, all the technology around us has become “smart”.
We here will be talking about the television of the future. A television that looks something out of a sci-fi movie. It launched recently, is a household name and obviously costs a bomb compared to other Smart TV price.
If you haven’t guessed it yet, it is Samsung’s 75-inch MicroLED 4K TV. It has features like no other Samsung LED TV and it will cost like no other Samsung LED TV price. Samsung also calls it “The Wall”. Which seems apt looking at the humongous 75” display. There hasn’t been a lot of official information about this television neither about its features or cost.
It is gathered that the television comes in multiple formats. It has a lego deigned kind of hook that attaches itself easily to the wall. The pieces of the TV then can be latched on to these hooks one by one to make a complete wall TV, it is more like tiles that go on floor. Let’s understand what is Micro LED?
Hongxing Jiang and Jingyu Lin of Texas Tech University developed a technology that made flat panel display. This technology encompasses numerous micro LEDs that illuminate automatically per display pixel. It users inorganic materials that help the display produce ultra-low blackness with higher brightness. As opposed to the conventional LED panel displays, the micro LED display does not need another set of backlighting panel. It is similar to OLED which is produced majorly by Sony, Panasonic, Philips and LG. Samsung has tried to take a step further from OLED and develop something superior with Micro LED.
We can expect Samsung to roll out fresh pieces of Micro LEDs not sooner than 2020. For everyone who is a big fan getting the most of cinema, it cannot get better than this. With Samsung’s micro-LED cinema theaters comes to your home but with a price.
We thought that the television could get no better than OLED but with brighter more advanced way of dimming the black light and efficiently saving more power, Micro LED can simply be called the future of television. Isn’t it? The only hurdle is its cost. The micro LED is going to be costlier than OLED and wouldn’t be a piece of everyone’s cup of tea. So, if you still are think of buying this thing, you should probably start saving from as soon as today.
That’s about it. This is all we know about the latest Micro LED display from Samsung. If you want to know more follow Samsung’s social media pages as they keep on updating new stuff about their products. Is Samsung going to find a way to make this television technology reach out to larger number of people? We hope they do.
